By accessing or using CheckMyBuilder ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.
What the Service provides
CheckMyBuilder compiles publicly available New Zealand records into background reports about builders and trades companies. Reports are generated using automated data tools and AI summarisation and are intended for personal and professional due-diligence purposes only. The Service does not provide legal, financial, or professional advice.
Payments and refunds
Reports are provided on a pay-per-use basis. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. Because reports are generated and delivered immediately upon payment, we do not offer refunds once a report has been generated. If you experience a technical issue, contact contact@checkbase.co.nz.
Accuracy and completeness
CheckMyBuilder sources data from publicly available New Zealand registers and credible media. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that reports are complete, current, or free of error. Always verify important information with the relevant official source before making decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Checkbase and CheckMyBuilder are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any report generated through it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
