Our commitment to your privacy
CheckMyBuilder is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only what is necessary to run our service and do not sell, share, or misuse your personal data.
What information we collect
- Search queries: When you enter a company or builder name, that query is sent to our servers to run the background check. We do not link this to any personal identity.
- Payment information: Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your card number, CVV, or billing address.
- Email address (optional): If you provide an email address to receive your report, it is used solely to deliver that report. We do not add you to marketing lists without explicit consent.
- Usage data: We may collect anonymised analytics data (page views, session duration) to improve the service. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- We do not store your search history linked to your identity.
- We do not share your data with advertisers.
- We do not retain payment card information — ever.
Your rights
